Analytics and reports
Analytics in the sidebar shows how your storefront is doing: sales, visits, what people look at and where they drop out. Everything is worked out from your own store's orders and page views. You don't need to install anything first.
Choosing a date range
The buttons at the top pick the period: Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days (the default), Last 90 days and Last year. Custom lets you pick a start date, and the report runs from that day up to today.
The headline numbers compare against the period just before, so Last 30 days is compared with the 30 days before that. Days and hours are grouped in your store's timezone, set under Settings → General. Figures can be up to five minutes old. Use the refresh button to fetch them again.
The headline numbers
| Metric | How it's counted |
|---|---|
| Gross sales | The total of orders marked paid in the period. Orders still pending payment don't count, including unpaid cash on delivery |
| Orders | Every order placed in the period, paid or not |
| Sessions | Distinct storefront visits. A visit is one browser, tracked with a first-party cookie |
| Returning customer rate | Customers in the period who have placed more than one order |
Conversion rate is orders divided by sessions.
The reports
| Report | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Total sales over time | Daily paid sales and order count |
| Total sales breakdown | Gross and net sales for the period |
| Average order value over time | Sales divided by orders |
| Top products by revenue | Your five best sellers, with units and revenue |
| Sessions over time / Conversion rate over time | Daily visits and conversion |
| Conversion funnel | Sessions → added to cart → reached checkout → completed checkout |
| Sales by day of week | Which weekdays sell best |
| Top pages by views / Sessions by page | The storefront pages people visit most |
| Cart abandonment | Carts left with items still in them, their value, and the products most often left behind |
Only storefront pages count as visits. Images, scripts, API calls and theme files are skipped. Visits to your admin never count.
Traffic sources
Sessions by traffic source groups visits by the site that sent them, using the referring URL. The main ones get friendly names: Direct (no referrer), Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X / Twitter and YouTube. Anything else shows as its domain. The report lists the top eight.
A visit with no referrer counts as Direct. That includes typed-in addresses, bookmarks, and many links opened inside apps. UTM tags aren't read.
Tracking pixels
You can also send storefront events to ad and analytics platforms. Each one has its own sales channel page. Click the Sales channels heading in the sidebar to find TikTok, Snapchat and Facebook & Instagram. Google & YouTube is on the full Sales channels page.
Paste in your ID and switch tracking on. Eekaam adds the platform's script to every storefront page and checkout step for you, and sends these events:
| Channel | What you paste | Events sent |
|---|---|---|
| Google & YouTube | GA4 Measurement ID (G-…), optionally a Google Ads Conversion ID (AW-…) | page_view, view_item, add_to_cart, begin_checkout, add_payment_info, purchase |
| TikTok | Pixel ID | Page view, ViewContent, AddToCart, CompletePayment |
| Snapchat | Pixel ID | PAGE_VIEW, VIEW_CONTENT, ADD_CART, PURCHASE |
| Facebook & Instagram | Meta Pixel ID | PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart, Purchase |
The purchase event fires on the order confirmation page and carries the order total and currency.
Don't paste the same pixel into your theme code as well. Eekaam already adds it, so a second copy counts every page view and purchase twice.
Facebook & Instagram isn't available on every plan. See Plans and pricing. To stop tracking, switch it off on the channel page or disconnect the channel.
