Store management

Store settings

Store settings

Settings sits at the bottom of the left sidebar in your Eekaam admin. It opens on General, with every other section listed down the side.

Opening Settings needs the View settings permission. Saving General and Checkout needs Manage general settings. See Staff and permissions.

General

Settings → General holds the details that identify your store. Change what you need and press Save at the bottom of the page.

Business details. The country and legal entity your store trades as, used for markets, apps and taxes.

Store contact details. Customers can see these.

Store currency is what you work in. The currencies shoppers see are set per market under Markets. See Markets and localisation.

Store assets links to Settings → Brand: your default and square logos, colours, cover image, slogan, short description and social links.

Checkout

Settings → Checkout controls how shoppers move through checkout. Press Save when you are done.

SectionWhat it does
Checkout layoutOne-page checkout puts contact, shipping and payment on one page. Multi-step checkout splits them into Information → Shipping → Payment
Customer contact methodAsk for email, phone number, or both. With email, you can also tick Require phone number at checkout
Payment methodsCash on delivery and bank deposit. See Cash on delivery and manual payments
Checkout languageThe language checkout is shown in, including Urdu and Arabic
Order number formatA prefix and suffix around the order number, e.g. #1001 or EK-1001
Cart behaviorAdd-to-cart limit caps how many of one item a shopper can add

A checkout setting saved in the theme editor wins over the same setting here. If the layout will not change, check your theme's checkout settings.

Policies

Your storefront always serves three legal pages: /privacy-policy, /refund-policy and /terms-and-conditions. Until you write your own, each one shows generic starter text that uses your store name.

To replace one, go to Online Store → Pages → Add page. Give it a title whose URL handle matches the address (for example Privacy Policy gives privacy-policy) and publish it. Your published page then replaces the starter text. See Pages and menus.

The starter refund policy promises 14-day returns. Replace it if that is not your policy.

Notifications

Settings → Notifications shows the address customers get email from, which is your store name at an @mail.eekaam.com address. Replies go to your store email.

Eekaam sends these emails automatically:

EmailSent toWhen
Order confirmationCustomerWhen the order is placed (cash on delivery, bank deposit) or when an online payment is confirmed
New orderStore ownerEvery new order
Shipping confirmationCustomerWhen you mark the order shipped
Order canceledCustomerWhen you cancel the order
Order refundCustomerWhen you refund the order

Abandoned checkout emails are not automatic. Send one from Orders → Abandoned checkouts.

Desktop notifications, at the bottom of the page, choose which alerts show in your browser and play a sound: orders, products, customers and system. These choices are saved to your own account.
