Connecting a payment provider

Connecting a payment provider

Eekaam does not hold your money. You connect your own merchant account with a payment provider, shoppers pay you directly, and Eekaam records the result. That is what makes the 0% transaction fee real — there is no Eekaam account in the middle to take a cut.

This section covers every provider we support: what you need from them, where to paste it, and how to tell when it is working.

The three steps, for every provider

Connecting any provider is the same three steps. The details differ; the shape does not.

  1. Get your credentials from the provider's own dashboard. Every provider issues a merchant identifier and at least one secret. Eekaam never sees your money, but it does need these keys to create a payment on your behalf.
  2. Save them in Eekaam under Settings → Payments → Add a payment provider. Pick the provider, press Install, and fill in the fields. Press Test connection afterwards — it makes a real, harmless call to the provider and tells you immediately whether the keys work.
  3. Turn it on at checkout. Saving credentials does not put a provider in front of shoppers. On the Payments screen, switch At checkout on for that provider and press Save in the header. Until you do, shoppers will not see it.

Step 3 is the one people miss. A provider can be connected, verified, and still invisible at checkout because the switch was never turned on.

Test mode and live mode

Every provider can hold two sets of credentials: test and live. Test keys let you walk through checkout without moving money. They will not accept real payments — if your store is open for business, you need live keys saved as well.

The Payments screen says which set is in play under each provider's name.

The payment notification URL

Providers confirm a payment by calling back to your store. Each provider card shows a notification URL unique to your store — copy it into your provider's dashboard wherever they ask for a callback, webhook, or IPN URL.

Until that URL is set up, orders will sit as pending even after a shopper pays, because nothing has told your store the payment succeeded. The provider's card shows when the last notification arrived, which is the quickest way to confirm the wiring is right.

Supported providers

"Coming soon" means Eekaam can store the credentials but cannot yet start a payment with that provider. The provider will not appear at checkout. Use one of the available providers until it ships.

When something is wrong

"Test connection" fails. The message comes from the provider, not from Eekaam, so it says what they objected to. The usual causes are a key copied with a trailing space, test keys saved in the live slot, or a provider that requires your server's IP to be allowlisted first.

Orders stay pending after payment. The notification URL is missing or wrong in the provider's dashboard. Check the "last received" line on the provider's card.

The provider is missing at checkout. The At checkout switch is off, or it was switched on but Save was never pressed.
