Built-in apps
Courier integration
Courier integration
Courier integration connects your courier accounts to Eekaam, so you can book a parcel and follow its delivery from the order instead of typing it into the courier's portal.
Install it from Apps, then open Apps → Courier integration. It has three tabs: Shipments, Courier accounts and Routing rules.
| Courier | Status |
|---|---|
| BlueEx | Booking and tracking live |
| PostEx, Leopards, TCS, Trax, M&P | You can save the account now. Booking arrives when their connectors are finished |
Add a courier account
Under Courier accounts, add your account with the credentials the courier gave you:
| Courier | Credentials |
|---|---|
| BlueEx | Username and password |
| TCS | Username, password and account ID |
| Leopards, M&P | API key and account ID |
| PostEx, Trax | API key |
Then fill in the pickup details sent with every booking: Business name, Pickup person, Pickup phone, Pickup email, Pickup city and Pickup address.
Mark one account as the Default courier. It is used whenever no routing rule matches. Credentials are stored encrypted.
Routing rules
Routing rules choose a courier for each order, for example a cheaper courier inside Karachi and another everywhere else. Under Routing rules → Add rule, give the rule a name, pick the courier, and fill in any of these conditions:
- Cities, comma separated:
Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad - Payment: Any, COD or Prepaid
- Minimum and maximum weight in kg
- Minimum order value
Every condition you fill in must match. Rules run top to bottom, and the first match wins. If none matches, the default courier is used. Untick Rule enabled to switch a rule off without deleting it.
Book a shipment
New orders appear on Shipments automatically, as Awaiting booking. Nothing is booked until you press Book. Eekaam never books an order by itself.
- Press Book on the order.
- Leave the courier on Use routing rules / default, or pick one.
- Check the parcel details (weight, pieces and the cash to collect), then create the consignment note.
When the courier accepts the parcel:
- The consignment number (CN) and a printable label appear on the shipment.
- The order becomes Fulfilled, with the courier and tracking number recorded on it.
- If WhatsApp order confirmation is sending shipping updates, the customer gets the courier, the tracking number and the amount to keep ready.
- A Flow workflow that starts when an order is fulfilled runs.
If the courier refuses the booking, the shipment shows as failed with the courier's reason. Fix it and book again.
Track deliveries
Track fetches the latest status from the courier and adds each update to the shipment's history. Filter the list by status:
| Filter | Means |
|---|---|
| Awaiting booking | Not booked yet |
| Moving | Booked and on its way |
| Delivered | Delivered to the customer |
| Failed / RTO | The booking failed, or the parcel is returning to you |
Search by order number, customer, phone or CN. Open goes to the order.
For cash on delivery, press Mark as paid on the order once the courier has paid you the cash. See Managing orders.
Without the app
You can still record a courier and tracking number by hand on any order with Fulfill order. The app only saves you the trip to the courier's portal. See Shipping for what customers pay at checkout, which is set separately.
