Shipping

Settings → Shipping and delivery is where you set what shoppers pay for delivery. Rates come from two places:

• Checkout shipping rates are store-wide. Every store has them.
• Shipping zones belong to a market. They let one market charge different rates from the rest.

Eekaam has no courier integrations. It does not book couriers, print labels or pull tracking from TCS, Leopards or anyone else. A rate's name is only a label: call it "TCS Overnight" if that is what you use, and book the courier yourself.

Checkout shipping rates

The first card on the page. Each rate has:

Field	Shown to shoppers as
Label	The option's name, e.g. Standard
Price (Rs)	What it costs. 0 shows as FREE
Delivery time	A line under the name, e.g. 3–5 business days

Add shipping method adds another option. The bin icon removes one, but you must keep at least one.

Free shipping threshold makes delivery free once the cart subtotal reaches that amount, whichever option the shopper picks. Leave it empty or at 0 to turn it off.

Press Save rates. This card has its own save button; nothing else on the page saves it.

A store that has never saved this card charges the defaults: Standard at Rs 200 and Express at Rs 400. Save your own rates before you launch.

Shipping zones

The Shipping zones card groups zones by market. Use a zone when a market needs its own prices, for example UAE orders shipped by an international courier.

Add zone next to a market, then fill in:

• Zone name, e.g. Domestic or GCC.
• Countries, as a comma-separated list.
• One or more rates, each with Carrier / Name, Cost and Delivery time.

You can also add a zone from the market itself: Markets → your market → Shipping.

When a shopper's market has an active zone with rates, checkout shows that zone's rates instead of your checkout shipping rates. It does not add them together.

Keep one zone per market. If a market has several zones, checkout uses the first one that has rates, whatever countries you listed. When a region needs different prices, give it its own market.

Zone rates are charged in the market's currency. The Free above field on a zone rate does not currently change the price at checkout. For free shipping, use the free shipping threshold on Checkout shipping rates, which applies to every market.

Which rates a shopper sees

At checkout, Eekaam works out the shopper's market from where they are shopping, then:

1. Uses the rates from that market's zone, if it has an active zone with rates.
2. Otherwise, uses your Checkout shipping rates.
3. Charges nothing for shipping if the subtotal has reached your free shipping threshold.

A market with no zones still checks out normally using your checkout shipping rates. You can dismiss the "Shipping rates aren't set up" warning on a market if those rates suit it.

How rates appear at checkout

In a one-page checkout the options sit in a Shipping method section above payment. In a multi-step checkout they get their own step. Each option shows its label, delivery time and price, and the first one is pre-selected, so put your most common option first.

Choose the layout under Settings → Checkout. See Store settings.

The option the shopper picked and the amount charged are saved on the order. They appear on the order page and in the Shipping Method and Shipping columns of an order export.

After the order

Book the delivery with your courier. Then mark the order as shipped on its order page, and Eekaam emails the customer a shipping confirmation. See Orders.

Permissions

Changing zones needs Manage shipping settings. The Checkout shipping rates card saves with your store settings, so it needs Manage general settings. See Staff and permissions.

The other cards on this page don't affect checkout yet: Local delivery, Pickup in store, Delivery customizations, Packages, Third-party calculated rates, Shipping documents and Custom order fulfillment.
