Product Reviews

Product Reviews lets customers rate a product, write about it and add photos. You approve each review before it appears on your store.

The app is installed on every new store. Open it from Apps → Product Reviews. It has two tabs: Reviews for moderation, and Storefront styles for how reviews look.

Show reviews on product pages

Reviews appear where you add the Product Reviews app block to your product template:

1. Online store → Themes → Customize, and open a product page.
2. Add the Product Reviews block where reviews should go, usually below the description.
3. Save.

The block shows the product's reviews and a Write a review button. Until you add it, customers have nowhere to leave a review. The app's empty screen has an Open theme editor button that takes you there.

What customers submit

Field
Rating	1 to 5 stars, required
Name and email	Required. The email is never shown on the store
Title and review	The written feedback
Photos	Up to 5, JPG, PNG or WebP, 5 MB each

A review is marked Verified purchase when the email belongs to an order that contains the product.

Every new review starts as Pending and stays hidden until you publish it.

Moderate reviews

The Reviews tab shows Total reviews, Awaiting review and the average Published rating, followed by the list.

• Search by customer, product or review text.
• Filter by product, rating, or media (With photos or Text only).
• Sort by newest, oldest, highest or lowest rating.

Select one or more reviews, then:

• Publish shows them on the product page.
• Deny keeps them hidden.
• Delete permanently removes the review and its photos. It cannot be undone.

Deny reviews that are spam, abusive, or about another product. Publishing honest low ratings too makes your reviews more believable.

Compare the layouts here, with a desktop and a mobile preview. Then set your choice on the Product Reviews block in the theme editor with Set layout in theme editor.

Review images chooses where customer photos appear: Gallery and review cards, Review cards only, Gallery only, or Hide review images. The photo size can be small, medium or large.
