COD order form
COD order form
Many shoppers in Pakistan won't go through a cart and a checkout to buy one product with cash. The COD order form puts a short form on every product page: name, mobile number and address, then Order now. There is no cart, no checkout and no account. The order arrives in Orders marked Cash on delivery, and you call or confirm it on WhatsApp before shipping.
Install it from Apps, then open Apps → COD order form. The form starts switched off. Set it up, then turn on Show the order form on product pages. Turning it off later hides the form at once and keeps your settings.
At the top, Form views, Orders, Order rate and Order value cover the last 30 days. Order rate is orders divided by the number of times shoppers saw the form.
Design
Template sets the form's layout:
| Template | Suits |
|---|---|
| One card | Most stores |
| Split | Fields beside the order summary, for stores whose shoppers are mostly on a computer |
| Sticky bar | Keeps the total and the button in reach while a phone shopper scrolls |
| Boxed | A header bar, numbered steps and pack tiles, like many Pakistani COD stores |
Colour colours the button, the selected pack and the highlights. The text on it turns dark or light by itself so it stays readable.
Texts lists only the texts your template shows: the heading, the line under it, the button and the reassurance lines. The total is added to the button by itself ("Order now · Rs 2,599"), so leave the price out of the button text.
Fields
| Field | Default |
|---|---|
| Full name | Always asked |
| Mobile number | Always asked |
| City | On, required |
| Complete address | On, required |
| Province | Off |
| Delivery note | Off |
| Off |
You can rename each field, change its example text, and make it required or optional.
Every extra field loses some shoppers. If you turn city or address off, those orders say "To confirm on call", and you get the details when you call.
Urdu labels show each field's Urdu name beside the English one, for example "Full name · نام". You can change the Urdu wording under each field.
Product page
- Where on the page: the form goes just Above or Below your theme's Add to cart button. For an exact spot, choose Place it exactly with the theme editor and add the COD order form block to the product page. The block takes priority over this setting.
- Cash on delivery only hides the theme's Add to cart and Buy it now buttons, so the form is the only way to order from a product page. The variant picker stays.
- Packs shows the product's quantity deal from Bundles & Offers as packs to pick, like "Pack of 2 · Rs 2,599", with the pack's photo. The order is charged the pack price.
- Most per order is the highest quantity one order can have, from 1 to 99. It keeps out mistakes and bulk fake orders. With packs it counts items, so 10 allows five packs of 2.
- Delivery charge is Free or a Flat fee, added to every order from the form and shown in the total. Your checkout's shipping rates don't apply to these orders.
Deals from Bundles & Offers apply to form orders the same way they do in the cart.
After the order
Where shoppers go after ordering:
- Thank-you page: a real page of your store. Arrange it, hide parts or add sections in the theme editor. Because it is a real page, the Meta pixel and Google Analytics count the purchase there.
- Your own page: any page of your store, starting with
/. The order number is added to the address, like/pages/thank-you?order=1067. - A message on the product page: keeps the shopper where they are, but some ad tools miss the sale.
What happens next is a short numbered list on the thank-you page, such as the confirmation call, delivery time and paying the rider. It cuts down on "where is my order?" calls. Write one step per line, up to five.
WhatsApp number adds a Message us on WhatsApp button to the thank-you page, with the order number already typed in. Leave it empty to hide the button.
Copy orders to a Google Sheet
Each new order can be added as a row to your own Google Sheet. That's handy for a calling team or a courier booking sheet. Rows are sent from Eekaam's server the moment the order is placed, so ad blockers can't stop them.
Under Connections → Google Sheet:
- Open your sheet and its script editor (Extensions → Apps Script).
- Replace everything in the editor with the script Eekaam shows, and save.
- Choose Deploy → New deployment, pick Web app, set Execute as to Me and Who has access to Anyone. Deploy, and allow access when Google asks.
- Paste the web app URL into Eekaam. It starts with
https://script.google.com/macros/s/and ends with/exec. Then press Use this sheet.
Disconnect sheet stops new rows.
Fake orders
The form sends orders straight to you, so a few protections are built in:
- Most per order caps the quantity.
- Each shopper can place only a few orders a minute.
- An invalid phone number is refused before the order is placed.
The most effective protection is asking each customer to confirm. WhatsApp order confirmation does that for every form order automatically.
